BlackJack is a very popular and exciting casino game, enjoyed by many players both online and offline. For beginners to the game of BlackJack looking for a Beginner’s Guide to the game, please read on!
The object of the game of BlackJack is to get a total point value (through their cards) that is greater than the house’s dealer’s hand – but without going over a total point value of twenty-one. Regardless of how many players are at the BlackJack table, players are exclusively trying to beat the dealer – not any of the other players at the table.
Each card in BlackJack has a specific value. All of the face cards, as well as the ten cards, have a value of ten. The number cards, two through nine, have a point value of their face value (two’s are worth two points, five’s are worth five points, etc.). Aces can have one of two values – either one point or eleven points, depending on what would best help the player.
There are two ways to win BlackJack. Players may have a hand which totals more than that of the dealer without busting (or going over twenty one points) or by the dealer busting (going over twenty one points).
